Yep...I bought a extra pedistal for my sportsbrella....I tried to turn the shaft the other way, but didn't work....Just a little "reaming" and it worked great!! No need for extra tie downs....

No secrets, Sports Brella fits the 3/4 pedastaal hole and does a great job. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 bucks.
