If it can be lowered I can do it, if you dont lower the water you will need someone with a pile driver. Might could rent a bobcat with a pile driver on it.

A floating dock still needs piles driven to keep in in place. Otherwise it will float away.
They drive the piles and build the dock in between them. The dock has rings attached to it that go around the piles. The rings slide up and down the piles as the dock floats up and down.

This is my final response to this issue. My timing may have been off. I read the thread, and commented after I read some of the posts. I agree my timing was bad, and I should have explained myself better, it just never entered my mind about a toilet floater!!!! I was talkin about the pier, or dock.

John, I never requested anything. I was told by the boss last time what to do, but since we've been friends, I figured WE could work it out, and thought we had. I hate that you misunderstood me, I didn't mean anything at all in that post other than what I've stated, and that is the absolute truth!!!!!

OK Spider woman.....just get you some foam floats or some plastic drums and build a framework around them and strap the floats, drums whichever you are going to use to the frame work.....then deck it.....get it pulled out in the water like you want it and drive some two inch galvanized pipes into the lake bottom on each side of the pier these will hold the pier in position and let it float up and down in between them.....build a hinged walkway from the shore to the pier.

Thanks G...never thought a thread about a dock could cause suck a stink :).....anywho....foam floats are on the way!! The rest will float into place.
