John Cena granted his 300th request from the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Monday evening. There is alot more people in the tv industry who could learn a few things from this man!

To put Cena's 300 granted wishes in perspective, Michael Jordan has granted around 200 and Kobe Bryant is in the 100-wish range.

My wife is the president of the PTO(and was Voted parent of the year last year for Desoto county...I might add, but that may just be braggin) for my girls elementary school. Each the school puts together a make a wish drive and grants one childs wish. While we may not be able to do more than this one, I gotta tell ya.....to see the hope and happiness on the childs face when his wish is granted, it's unreal feeling. This year we(the school) were able to put toether enough money to send the family to disney world. They had a blast.

I took my family on a Disney cruise in early May, and there via social media, we found out about a child who's wish was to go on a cruise. The make a wish foundation had planned on sending them in July, but due to health deteriorating, they went ahead and granted the wish and this family was on the cruise we were on. This family is on a crash course in terms of the health of this little girl, but I tell you what, that week on that cruise they had the time of their life. We enjoyed getting to know them a little. My wife is a FNP and was able to understand what they were dealing with and while it seems like a disaster in the making , the make a wish folks sure gave them a little relief.

I watched my 1st child fight her way into this world via the NICU 12 years ago and prove all the doctors wrong. Watching that struggle, it really made me realize how blessed I am to have healthy kids and the least my family can do is play a small role trying to help a family. This is a common feeling with all the parents at our kids school. All those "small roles" make for a united community where the school is able to do this every year.

Hats off to everyone that helps a little. I will also say, outside of my home church, I'm wary about supporting charities due to all the fraud, but I can vouch if you are dealing with The Make A Wish foundation all the money's go to the wishes.

Sorry to type so much, maybe I rambled, but I feel pretty strong bout make a wish.
