Do any of yall cut the top's out of your plant's after they get tall?I'v got some that are taller than my cages and have heard you could top them out and they would stop growing up and bush out more.

never done that man. I've got a couple that are just over the top of my 5 1/2 foot tall cages myself. Last time they did that, I just let them kee[p on growing. They were celebrity's and they went over the top, went to the ground and grew back up a couple feet. 12 foot tall mater plants LOL

I've never done it and this is the first to hear of it. I've had some that the tops got broke off in the past. What tomatoes that are on that plant is it. That plant is done on production. Mine are staked, so every week I have to tie them. Some are starting to turn down at the top of the stakes.

Don't do it. If you were to crop the top it would be at an early age within the 1st few weeks.
