TOW boat races?

Why don't they do the boat races at Thunder on the water anymore and why do they still call it TOW with out the races.

We thundered on the water tonight, FIREWORKS!!!!!!!
It is a flood control lake hence no control of water levels and such, the events and stuff they have goingon now is really more of a draw than the boat racers were anyways.
