We batter ours and partially fry em and then freeze em in zip lock bags. Let em cool before freezing. Then open and finish cooking em when you're ready to eat em. Ours taste pretty fresh this way.

My mom just slices them and puts them into good quaility freezer bags.
Or a vacuum sealer
blanch in hot water then vaccum seal and freeze

Slice into quarter inch slices, blanche, then freeze. This is really good if you are going to stew your squash but dont know how it would be for frying
SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, AND STAY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE BOAT.
If your planning on frying them I dont think I would blanch them but if your gonna steam them or saute them later I would prolly blanch them. But the vaccum sealer would prolly be the ticket. Of course my mom never had a vaccum sealer and she always used good quality freezer bags.
