    Default Elk Hunting trip

Way off topic I know but I am looking for a reference. Any of you guys went on a Elk hunting trip to Colorado or Montana and had a really good outfitter you would recommend. Thanks in advance. I looking to book a trip and really want to do a private land trip.

Yep, Roy Hutt at Little Cone Outfitters in Norwood Colorado. I hunted there 3 years while working with Summit and killed bulls 2 years with a bow. Could have killed the other year but that is another story. The last time I was there was about 4 years ago but I know people that have went back every year since then. It is not a 5 star lodging hunt but if you want to be in the middle of elk, it is a great place. Also does mule deer and bear hunts. He may already be booked though, not sure.

Not all Colorado tags are draw. Muzzleloader and first gun season are draw I believe. Second and third rifle season as well as archery are over-the-counter.
