Yep, these lakes are very much like a military base, Commanding Officer is the man.

I've yet to comment on this subject, for fear of hurting someone's feelings, but as much I like each and every one of y'all, I applaud Stan for making a TOUGH call!! I don't care what else was done wrong, as TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT, the fact that he called the tourney at 3, and STOOD by that, was the RIGHT thing to do. I agree this should be fun for everyone, (for me it is) and I'd like to see all the kids come out and participate, but the fact is, WB also did the right thing by taking FULL responsibility, and teaching the B's that you can't break the rules and still win!!!! Tough Love, but a lesson well learned!!!! I hated it for all three of them, as they are all great guys, and I consider them my friends, but looking the other way would have HURT more people than it would have helped. No one should be rewarded for NOT abiding by the rules. Bottom line is that we all had the same set of circumstances, and all made it except one. You can't punish the other 15 teams for that!!!
It also makes me sick that most adults start USING kids as their shield to gripe!!! If the kids want to compete with the adults, they should expect to be treated LIKE the adults. If ya want to have a tourney for the kids, that would be fine, but don't expect to many boats. The Parents would sooner or later have these same issues, and interfere with that also!!!!! Look at little league baseball!!!!! The parents ARE the problem, the kids don't give a rip, they just wanna have fun!!!!!
As far as the FJ's, I think we need to continue to have and support them, Arkabutla included!!!!! There are a lot of great crappie fishermen out there that just don't have the time to be Pros!!!!! We will have a problem here and there, but overall it's a great time of fellowship for the majority. I think most will agree with that!!!!! I keep hearing from some that they aren't going to fish em anymore, but MOST of the gripers, either don't catch fish anyway, or don't fish most of the tourneys. If you like the competition, come on let's do it!!! If ya don't, that's fine too!!!! Just my view of this.
BTW, Great catch Gill and Joe!!!
SEE Y'ALL AT THE NEXT ONE!!!!!

The game warden up here is Mike Powell. And he was at boat ramp saturday. He is the shorter man with blond hair. Never had any problems out of him at all, but he does do his job no ? Asked. And yes he is a member here just can not remember his screen name. Jack Hardy was the head game warden for this area but he might be retired now

X2. I've been checked numerous times at Butla, and I've NEVER been treated with any disrespect!!!! They do a great job, and have been nothing but nice to me!!!!! As a matter of fact, I've been treated nicely at Sardis, Enid, and Grenada too!!!

I dont think any part of the FJ was an issue with the GWs just the COE and that was handled and hopefully not be a prob again.
When it comes down to it the COE folks would have been the ones helping Kdavid and myself if we had put in the call, thats what they are there for. The ones I have had the honor to be associated with would much rather be on the helping side than the enforcing side. Bet money if we had made the call that they would have launched a boat and came to our aid, fortunately we didnt need it but I have no doubt they would have helped.
BRM, I really like you and all, but that's the most ignert statement I've heard in all of this discussion. Ifn the kids were not dependent upon adults and were feshin by themselves, then I would agree. But in this situation, these kids had nothing to do with it besides ketchin 6 big fesh. (WB got his usual one). You may get whizzed at me fer disputing you and that's ok, we will work it out, but I think you're out of your mind to make this statement.
Like Sat said, We just need a rulling from the Head Man at the COE!!!
