Actually I use both at the same time. When I Spider Rig, my main line is Hi Viz, and I tie my rigs with Silver Thread AN-40 in the clear silver. Works for me. I think the fish Can see the Hi Viz. On a finicky or soft bite it could make a difference. On a hard bite, it might not make much difference, but I ain't takin that chance in a Tourney!!!

They can see it. You tie on a flr green jig to get their attention but you somehow think they can't see see flr green line
I started using pre tied rigs with a jig, egg sinker, and swivel on a 3 ft. leader of 12# fluorocarbon. I keep those wrapped on a piece of swimming noodle. I just snap it on my hi vis and go fishing. The best of both worlds.
Just curious, but I understand fish are colorblind? Always wondered if they are, why we got all them pretty colors?? Obviously I know colors DO make a difference...anyone know the facts on this??
Fish are not colorblind. They can see colors like ultraviolets that we can't. That's what I understand anyway.
YES they can see my high - viz line. it's my weight and my hook they can't see. and my bright PANK jig looks just like a real minner. they are reeeeeeaaaaaaal smart
Big C, from what these guys are saying, nothing is wrong with the line, you just need to learn how to fish.
You could take up knitting or something like that...use that hi vis line to knit yourself a scarf or a sweater.
