Got to lake about 4:00. Put in and boat seemed to idle good. Started across the lake but motor would not get over 3000 rpm. Made it to middle of lake and motor died. Would only run by pushing in on the choke. So much for making it to the fishing area of the lake. I was determined to fish. So amongst all the ski boats and jet skis making 3 foot waves we headed for the concrete drain at the dam. Tied to it and rock n rolled our way to 24 fish. Thank god I brought crickets with us. 1st fish was a nice size crappie but rest were mainly bream. Can't complain to much about that after 3 hours of fishing. Now I will have to try to save up and have the carbs redone. Atleast we will eat fish tomorrow.![]()
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.
