THAT HAS TO HURT! Man it could have been much worse even if he lost the hand. my money is on the docs getting him close to normal. My thoughts are with you guys. Keep us updated. I will think of this every time i touch a gun for a while.
If you dont mind my asking what type firearm was this?

You got em John, know it's not gonna be fun for your bro either.
Surgery went well but they didnt get as far as they hoped. All the bones in his hand are stablised and the docs are pleased at this point.

At this point they are through with the reconstruction, only time will dictate what else is needed in the department. Next step is the skin crafting, those docs will be in sometime today. The dark stuff is packing and his hand is in a bag to keep the mess drained off his hand.
