Barbie....I hate to tell ya but......thats kinda the way black does. I use Nu-Finish and it works good. Black is really pretty when its clean and polished but everything tends to show up on it.

My car goes back to the dealership tomorrow, they had a recall on the airbag light, n they have to hook it up to a puter to fix it. While the car is there, they are gonna detail it, their main guys were not there over the weekend, n they didnt do a very good job...is there any kind of wax that does a better job then others at resisting smudges, fingerprints, ect? It seems like if I stare at the car too long, it gets a smudge. Same with the interior...any products y'all can recommend? Appreciate the help.

Lol..quite possible. They actually told me yesterday, but cld not get connected. And I was very unhappy with how my car was cleaned, so we struck a deal to bring it back tomorrow, n they will supply me with a rental. Hopefully nothin else goes wrong. If it does, I'm gonna blame u!![]()
N I was afraid of that... Looks like my next purchase is gonna be a yearly pass at the carwash. Just hopin to find something that will help in resisting smudges, ect. But I'm gonna try everything y'all suggest, n see what works best. They are just gonna have all the professional equipment to buff n wax it tomorrow, so I'm hoping to run out this afternoon n purchase something for them to use.
Tell people to keep they grubby hands off the car, it aint fo touching its for looking at. lol I only buy black trucks, I always use a pro grade buffing compound followed by a top quality wax. The higher the ones with a high Carnauba wax are the ones I have had most luck with. I also use a liquid spay wax in between full wax jobs. It helps keep the surface slick, as long as you dont let road grim get built up on it.
Winter time is hardest on the finish, road grim from rain, snow, and also at leas up here from the salt and or chemicals they put on the roads. It is important not to let that stuff set on the paint to long or it burns right through the clear coat after a while and it looks less shiny. Dont use a car wash on your car, I promise you will not be happy with the results after just a few washes, they are not very clean as far as the brushes and or the big rolling wheel ones either. It is much better to hand wash your vehicle every time, using micro cloths to wash with and to dry with. Also just look up professional detail tips. Classic car collectors use a lot of clay type products to remove contaminates from the car surface before rubbing a cloth over it. Any small particle that is caught with a cloth and them rubbed will cause micro scratches.
Good luck to ya and enjoy that new car.

I have a black truck that's shows everything except while wet. Also most drive thru washes leave a film on mine.
I watched show where a guy details and washes movie cars with distilled water so it has no fine particles in it. He also sprays down with a baking soda solution any bird dropping and bigs to neutralize them them picks it up instead of wiping it off.
