Use anything but stren. Sorry.

I had never had a problem with stren before. First time using the large spool, usually a 330 yd spool. I had the same problem with 2 different spools of Mr Crappie! I'll try the dryer trick oleblue. Thanks guys!

The larger spool might be the problem, stren has a longer memory than other lines. Next time try vicious.

What do you think of sprayin some reel magic on the spool and letting it sit for a day before putting it on the reel? Supposed to take memory out of the line.

It wouldn't hurt anything. I use Reel Magic all the time.

Can't hurt to try.
They (dupont) use to make this line in the plant in parkersburg, wv. Then they started making it overseas. It's not as good as it use to be. My dad worked in that plant for 33 years.

Actually the plant was in Washington, WV just outside parkersburg.
