If both jigs are on the line, you would be fishing below them at any speed. You would never get them above the fish with 50ft. of line out without using a float to keep them from running below the them.

I am looking to fine tune my long lining. If I am looking to long line two jigs one 1/8 and one 1/16 on 10 pound line. Clear water and the crappie are suspended only 2 to 3 foot down. So I am wanting to get the jigs a good piece AT LEAST 50 FEET from the boat. So what would be a good speed to make these jigs run 2 to 3 foot deep with 50 feet of line out?

Maybe I could put a small cork say 6 foot above the jigs and pull them.. Anybody tried that?
With a single 1/8 u would have to increase line diameter way up...20 lb maybe then run a very large diameter plastic for resistance and the u might, might be able to get it to 3' at 50' back.
Step down your jig size. U making this too hard.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Put a cork on it Ray LOL

A 1/16 jig at 1 mph with 40' out should keep ya above em.
