i think he has spare holders tilted at different angles............when he used pictured setup, rod tips to water level was just right.

if rod height wasn't an issue for him I guess it could work
If you want to get up and move......your gonna have to step over the rods it looks like. I think I will just stick with my HiTeks
those are driftmaster rodholder/bases, no adjustment other than left or right on that flatbar set up. Round bar extending out would allow vertical adjustment with a different base
Those are driftmasters, and yer right there is no adjustment up and down. I like mine in front of me, watching these would be like watching tennis.
Would the tips of the rods not still be in front of you?????:dono
Driftmaster holders is right. I'm OUT on this setup. Looks awkward to say the least. No height adjustment for different size weights. Reels are positioned below the seat. Hard to grab a quick bite. A striper will kill this setup in a hurry.

All I can envision is me breaking some poles first time I got up with that setup. Looks like a accident waiting to happen. Great concept and if it works for him that's even better.
