I have never had one foul on me. I think it does give the jig a little lift. I use the same size splitring and crane swivel that I use on ponyheads with a #1 blade. They do catch fish. I have caught 13 limits in a row on Greers and these with a crappie nibblits is all I use.

Yea they do come off after 20-30 minutes or so in the water. If you are not getting bite roll up and put some more on.

Them light wire hooks are very handy in stumpy crud. Jig loss is real minimal
