It has, actually was married there in 1983, water was high and we had the wedding there below the resturant and the reseption at the resturant. August outside weddings are HOT but had nuttin on the bride, August will be 29 years. Folks skiing on the lake stopped their boats and watched the wedding
Wow a history lesson...that was cool
Tman, the history of these lakes is pretty cool, my father-in-law helped farm Turkey Creek bottom before the lake was put in. Some of the old pics show the parking lots overflowing during the summer, the COE lakes were a hit after the initial fits about the land being taken. Bunch of old homesteads in the Grenada lake bottoms, one old well was still running water last year havent been by there this year to see if its still running or not but most likely it is.
My father-in-law, all his brothers and sisters would catch the school bus that ran on the rail from Bryant to Bruce before road driven school bus was in that area. They lived by the track below Jenkins corner.
Small world aint it canebreaker??
the well on this side is south of old #8 and a good piece east of buttputter creek and it is still running.
