OM, there is deep water in that creek. There are 3 holes up it where the water is in the banks I guarantee have fesh in em. Got to fesh the WHOLE creek, lot of fesh caught in the center of it and alot of cover in the center of it.
I hit a lot of the cover in the center of the mouth up to where the creek narrowed down to the banks...but, i didnt go in the banks...probably shud have!
Live and learn I guess. This is my first time fishing that side of the Lake. I did see a fella with a jig pole catching some crappie in less than 1 fow all around the boat ramp...he had 4 keepers. So, i guess they are still shallow just have to find em!
Yea I had a man and wife yesterday that had never spider rigged before and we ended up with 24 with 5 over 2.5 and 1 at 3.20 . THey gonna mount the 3.2 female and a 2.30 male together.
OM, I aint the sharpest tool in the shed but if you catching short fish in shallow move out. I have been fishing 9 to 12 fow fishing 5 to 7 feet deep and catching keepers. Not all fish will spawn in 18" of water.
When singlepoling I fish from top to bottom, if the water is 9 foot deep then I will fish from 0 to 9 foot deep. Majority of my feshes so far this year in 4 FOW and more.
Caught some Friday fiehing 12 foot deep
