You can have it anywhere in your vehicle you want, except on the Natchez Trace, and yes it can be loaded. No permit required. Concealed carry would be on your person and that requires a permit.

Go to the MS Highway Patrol web site (wish I could give you the link). They have a list of people qualified to get you certified for the enhanced permit. They have people all over the state.

Thank you Reel Man for getting me up to speed on MS law concerning parks, fed and state. MS law now, since 2010, does allow firearms to be carried in Federal and State parks, with some exceptions about some buildings being restricted, and it does include the Natchez Trace.
