We have a season for them up here in Missouri! It runs from March 15 to April 30.

I snagged a 65-70 pounder (guessing) on a 16' Tightline Special down there two years ago. Had 10lb line. We chased him down for 30-40 minutes with the trolling motor. He was longer than I am tall (6') including the spoonbill.
