    Default hub/bearing seal

Got my bearing kits today and when I installed them in the hub all went well. But when I installed the hub on the axle the seal was too small to allow the hub to go on all the way. I had to take axle to Napa and have them Mic the axle where the hub seal rides to get the right seal. $20.00 for both. Man that Napa know how is expensive....(singing) Napa know how Napa know how....

Bad think about ordering the kit online is the only spec. They offer is the axle size. 1 1/16" straight. Doesn't say a thing about seal size or hub size...

I just get the numbers off of my old bearing, races, and seals........Then go to a Bearings and Supply store or Motion Industries and cross the numbers out and get my new ones. I always specify Timken bearings and races, and Chicago Rawhide ( C/R) seals.....all USA made.....costs a little more but well worth it.

#'s were gone..that would be too easy...I did get timken bearings but the seal is a Napa brand. Good thing is it has a spring and dual wipers.

They can mic the bearings and the race if the numbers are gone. You did good though.
