Bill, I can tell you goin from 16 ft 4ft wide to 18.5 long and over 6 feet wide, is a lot of difference in the feel of stability for sure. Now the fact that I went from a 25hp to a 90hp that was a big difference too but I like the stability of the boat much more than concerned with the speed but I didnt run it wide open today, I was just getting the feel of it. and that brings a question to mind, was wandering this, if I am at full throttle how many rpm's should I be turnin on the 90 2stroke ?
Good job Larry
What do you think John, lmao
I had our retired service manager with me and he has worked on boats for years, he said the boat "would jump out of the hole" he said it did great for that, stability in moving around was great, water really wasnt very choppy today so didnt really get a test of that. I ran it up to 37mph was all I tried, I didnt work the trim and all to see what I could get out of it, that will come with time when I get more comfortable with the boat.
Good for you... Hope you get to go more often...
Yep G, my brother in law went yesterday and caught over 30 himself, he was long lining, all we did today was single pole movin around with the trolling motor (testing out the new ipilot 80lb thrust) and didnt really get to serious bout the fishing, more or less just relaxin :)
Your doing it right Larry....just take it slow and easy untill you get used to it and get more comfortable with it. Sounds like you like it though and I know its a good boat.
G, I did find out that my eyes start watering bout 35mph LOL
