You got that right, Bud. Mine are starting to show up in the woods. Went down to my pond yesterday and tried'em. Don know what water temps were, but caught 4 large males up close to the bank with no color , nor were their tails bloody. One of'em turned a little black when I put him in ice chest, which can happen any time.
Your dogwood is ahead of mine Gene.....I guess thats because I am way up north from you, anyway no blooms on mine yet loaded with buds though.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Yep it is time . They are blooming all over rankin county .
CATCH THEM ALL.
I rode down the Trace from Tupelo to Houston yesterday. No dogwoods in full bloom, but the buds were starting to open a little. Ours should be in full bloom next week I would think. I hope this weather will straighten out for a couple of days next week and give us a good opportunity at some spawners next week-end.
I was hoping this cold snap would not be as bad as predicted, but I think they hit it on the head this time.
Anyone that's fished the Upper end of Barnett (not the river) alot, PM me, got a question

The redbuds are about half way on their blooms. The dogwoods are about 1 to 2 weeks after that. In this area.
