So on my way home this evening I ran through a bunch of water and the car died. Where I live I have to drive though a spillway between a upper and lower lake. So I made it about 400ft costing. Popped the hood--and nothing around the distributor was wet--call the wife bring the explorer--I have some spray in it that I could spray to dry what ever it was up--she's slow so I tried to crank it again--it started but wouldn't stay running.
I finally got it started and it would stay running but when I put it in gear (a stick shift) it wouldn't rev-kinda weird--idled fine but couldn't pull.
Finally made it home by clutching it. Only thing I could think of was I got a bunch of water in the intake since the dist. was not wet. Oh well-guess I'll slow down next time
