Shade might be possible. The only way you will be close to the water though, is if you bring a pool and fill it up outside the camper.

Anybody know the numbers of good RV camping sites at the North Abutment. I would like a spot near the water with a little shade. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tlow pretty much all those sites are nice. There are some around the upper lake.

I've stayed at both Tony. 1st off, stay offah mah lake. The North End is way nicer both in facilities and the spots are better. I personally like the ones in the back on the outside facing Perry creek. Shaded, nice view and you can walk out and fish the creek itself, but like they said...it'll be a hike right now.
Nothing wrong with the ones below the spillway though. Just tighter and nothing but shade. When it warms up, mosquitoes will flat tote you off though.
Other than that, they have good sites up on the North side of Graysport as well, but that's pretty remote for the family.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
