Recovery nurse just called. Said he is in quite a bit of pain, and while the surgery took longer than expected, he did just fine. I'll update again as soon as I know more.

He's is now back in the room, and talkin, drinking, ect. Thank you for all yalls thoughts and prayers, it means the world to us both. I'm gonna try to sneak in a nap...thanks again y'all.
Poke him in the ribs and let me know if it hurts him a whole bunch. If so, don't do it but twice more.
Glad it all went well. He's gonnabe sore for a while. I had mine taken out in an emergency when I was 21. And that recovery hurt like the dickens for a full 2 weeks. He ain't no 21 year old. I'm just saying.
