    Default Butla spillway update

Stopped by and blew off some steam with the girls. Watched a bunch of folk catching nothing except one snagger catching a bunch of shad. Yall shouldve seen how proud he looked every time he hung one though. Funny the only good crappie I saw caught was a young kid standing right beside him using a cork

I was under the handicap pier today. I caught 6 lg mouth bass and a white bass, all about 10 inches long. I gave them away.

Went by H pt this afternoon--they opened up the farthest back camp sites and I didn't realize the water was SO low back there. Hope some of the rain from the week gets down there soon.

Right there close to where that little boy is fishing in that curve on the left, there is a sand spot with just a few rocks. I think crappie like that spot because of the change in the bottom and that eddie flow there. Over on the other side below that swing up on the hill you can see how there is a edge that drops off causing a current break. The crappie seem to like that spot also and a eddie flows back on that side also! Did you check out Kelly's Crossing? A friend of mine launched there last week and said you had to stay to the right side looking down at the ramp because a tree or log had drifted up on the left side! That looks like running chocolate milk in that spillway! The lake ain't no better. The good thing about muddy water is that it warms up a lot faster because the mud particles absorb heat from the sun faster than clear water! Still praying for your Dad!!

OLD GEEZER FISHERMEN NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELL THAT WAY!!
