I may be fooling myself but I know we gripe about em going out the pipe like they do but we seem to have fish in the lake every spring. Wonder how quick we would get overstocked if they werent going down the pipe?? Just a thought.

Saw cappie radio today and he had some interesting news.(6) of the 30 tagged fish went out the spillway already.Pretty sad just think how many they flush away yearly. These were tagged not long ago to the best of my knowledge around Jan.banghead

Can people not fish below the spillway on the lake you are referring to(i assume enid)? That water that is flowing out of the lake has to go somewhere. I know nothing about the lake you are talking about, all i know is barnett and okatibee but why can't people slaughter them below the spillway the way fishermen do here on barnett?
Seems like once they get past the riff raff rocks that they disappear. They do catch some but dont seem to kill em like yall do down there.

Fish down the drain is probably a good thing. Too many mouths to feed in the lake would likely slow down the growth rates. Fishin and the spillway seem to be doin a good job keeping that in check. Bad spawning years can throw a wrench into things though.
