Since you're just looking for more speed, I'd consider a 2S Optimax. Lighter, faster, about the same fuel usage, should be cheaper on the front end, good track record. You probably won't spend any more for the 2S oil than you would for oil changes on a 4S.
May be a dumb question, why dont people change their own oil?
Call me, I sell both brands!!! Buy the Suzuki!!! I've sold 400 of them, and NEVER had a warranty claim!!!!! That's what I run if I can. The new Yammies are nice too!! I don't sell Mercury.

I change my own oil, replace my water pump impellors, adjust valves, and replace timing belts myself , and many other things, its not that difficult, but I did buy a Tech Manual for my motor to guide me through all of this.Quote:
