Default Wind socks with cross wind

Any tips for doing this. I have pulled them from back of boat but where Iwant to fish this weekend I will have a crosswind. Is this possible to help keep boat straight

Not sure as I havent used a drift sock all that much but depending on the amount of wind and the size of the sock it could work. If the sock keeps you on the trolling motor the whole time you should be able to keep the boat straight. If one isnt enough throw out a second one.

Depends on the amount of wind, but yes they will help. If its a stiff wind use two smaller ones on one side of the boat, the side the wind is blowing from. This will help in keeping the boat drifting at the same speed and angle unless you turn the boat with the trolling motor, but even if you do as long as its not big moves you should still be ok. I would not use them to do this in strong winds, such as white capping, they can slow you down too much and actually cause the waves to hit you broad side and come in the boat. So be careful.
