    Default Cluster

Went and rode the river with a guide buddy of mine from Pearl. On the way back to the ramp we lost the lower unit. We broke out the paddles casue a tow boat was coming and paddled and paddled. Fighting the current trying to get to the Mississippi side of the river. After drifitng and paddling for about 3 miles we made it to the bank. I called my brother to get my crappie boat and come get us. I am glad I had my buddy with me, we knew what to do and calm heads prevailed, I hope this is my only cluster for the year.

Going out on the big river should be like going out in the Gulf..... Should have 2 outboards on the back of the boat!

All I got to say is kicker motor !! It can save your butt on the river and pull cranks in the summer!!

Any idea what caused the lower unit failure? Glad to hear you guys were aware enough, to do what you should in that situation and not panic. Be careful out there.

I never get on the river without the trolling motor batteries completely charged!
