Reflecting On The Past Year... A lot as happen in the past year with my wife and I, And I must say that it has been tuff to bear.
After much prayer Sandra did not have to have her foot removed, and they don't think the big knott on her jaw bone is cancer, ''we hope'', they will go in into it in two weeks, and see if it's cancer.
I had heart surgery and must say this has been the worst year of my life, inculding Viet Nam to see Sandra suffer this much. I pray that the members here never have to indure what Sandra and I have gone thru.
Happy New Year, and great fishing......crappie fishing

Amen brother... I have recently shared this quote I ran across in Micheal Gowens' book "The Gospel of Luke". He quoted another guy in his book and it really hit home with me. My mom is currently battling breast cancer and is on her second round of chemo. I sent it to her and to another guy that recently lost his mother and brother. I hope it can be some consolation to you also:

J.C. Ryle writes, "The grace of God exempts no one from trouble. Let us count trial no strange thing. If afflictions drive us nearer to Christ, the Bible, and prayer, they are positive blessings. We may not think so now. But we will think so when we wake up in another world."

Cowboy will be praying for you and your wife. I don't think it is abnormal for us humans to view the afflictions visited on our loved ones as cruel and yes it is very hard to understand. You just have to trust the Lord in these matters.
