    Default trim cylinder rebuild

Any of you guys ever rebuilt your trim cylinder on your outboard? I've got a 01 90 merc that the top ring has been leaking for time but it's gotten worse and is in need of new rings. I'm just having problem locating a rebuild procedure online. Just wondering if anyone's done it or might have a remove/replace procedure.

Haven't done one on an outboard, but have done a few on farm equipment. All the rebuild kits I've used had printed instructions in the package.

Can't help on the rebuild but I can make you a deal on a brand new trim pump & motor for your 90hp Merc. I bought it but found out my trim manifold was bad and couldn't return it. It's the three wire version.

I found a website called www.crowleymarine.com that has diagrams of mercury trim cylinders. may be able to save them and expand the size. They were piece by piece breakdowns. Don't know what mdl.90 merc. you have. You might take a look!!Good luck!
