Get the cheap skate to find you one(WB). I would go with wareagle or a G3
Was talking to the dealer over here that I bought my Triton TS18 from in 2008. Has been an awesome boat. Just about as wide in the front as the back, good storage, good livewells, smooth ride, fishes good in just about any condition, have had it on the salt flats in the gulf of mexico and didn't feel nervous at all. I only put a 60 HP Etec on it. Speed is not an issue for me either. Still get 32 mph with full load of gear and 2 adults & 2 kids and a full tank. I can get about 5mpg running WOT. This set up has saved me enough $$ in fuel and oil that I am pretty sure it has paid for 6 months or more of payments.
Now with all that said, I found out today (old news I guess) that Triton no longer makes metal boats. The Lowe Stinger you mentioned is what used to be the Triton TS18. Now the TS is not the crappie model. It is set up better than the crappie model Tritons. The Lowe Stinger just added the larger livewell/baitwell at the front. I got in the Lowe today and saw one at the ramp last Monday. He had a 115 HP Merc Opti and said he liked the set up except the three seat mounts in the front deck were too far back. I noticed that today. I didn't like it either. I only have a single mount, but added a Honeymooner double seat mount and it sits perfect for two persons to spiderrig.
I am sure BRM can talk with you about the Excel boats. I have looked them over and seem to be a good set up too. I really like G3's setup and if I was gonna look for another metal boat I would try to find one of them with the Yammy or Etec. I will probably keep mine for at least another year and may upgrade to the 115 Etec if I don't buy a larger glass boat. My family grew again this year and pretty soon someone is gonna have to stay home or I gotta buy a bigger boat.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!
when i was looking at boats i looked at the lowe and really liked the layout almost bought one, also looked at the wareagle but was alittle out of my price range.never been out in the lowe ,but have been in canepoles wareagle and really like the way it handles water and fishes, nice boat
yep
Maachuu, give BRM a call. He will help you out. That excell boat he sells is a really nice looking rig and from what I understand very competitive price wise. I bought my new to me boat a few months ago. It is a Wareagle stick steer 17ft. I know stick steer dosnt work for everyone but is just right for me. Really like the way it is laid out and construction. Handles water well and very stable. Friend has same boat 754 with side console and it fishes 2 side by side very well. He runs 40 suzukie 4 stroke and has plenty of power. Mine is 50 yamaha 4stroke and I love it. Those 4 strokes just don't burn any gas and are so smother and quiet. Any of those you are looking at would be a good choice just look at them and try to fish out of one if you can to see if it fits your style. This is just my 2 cts, you want to pull cranks so I think you would be better off with one of the Crappie style boats with smaller rear deck and rear seat in floor like the tracker Major has or Triton Cockrumcrappie fishes out of. That excel is very similar in design. Hope this helps some. That tracker sounds like a pretty good deal.:fish
Happy New Year to you and your family:angel:
Just get an Xpress. Nuff Said!!!! The PFC models are the Bomb!!! Plus they are Wider at the beam than most, and they have a Pad Ride Hull like a glass boat!!!! The Excel is also nice, and are the Toughest boats on the market!!!!
Don't buy a Mod-V hulled boat. They'll beat you to death in rough water, comparatively speaking!!!
BTW, I sell both Xpress and Excel. LOL
BRM
Windstone has a stinger. Nice boat
