I don't blame you a bit for thinking like that Mr. Jim. However, that's one of the reasons I enjoy tournament fishing. When the schedule is set, you've got to fish, no matter what the weather is. It forces you to be prepared.

And although I did fish in a tournament... He's my take on this...
I joined a Bass club some years ago and fished a tournament every other Saturday for six months. Rain or shine. after a while it seamed more like work, than fun.
Now I fish for relaxation and fun and FOOD!!!
I did fish in a Crappie tournament that was really a friend's idea. He didn't show up the morning of the tournament. we had to pay entrance fee the night before or I would not have fished it. (when he never showed up)
Now I might fish in some tournaments but I will not fish in the cold, rain, snow or high winds. This, to me, is not fun.
