can't make up my mind if i want a vacuum sealer or not. can anybody give me the pros and cons, best brands, etc on them. i have read and used all the freezin in water methods on fish but want to do meats with one also. i generally lose some sq, deer and chicken over the year in the freezer and it seems a lot of folks swear by these vacuum sealers. what say you???????

I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I travel out to Oregon to Salmon fish and my buddy out there uses a Tilly FoodSaver vac and it works really well. I bought one of their low end ones for our motorhome and later got a better one with the vacuum hose feature that lets you seal jars and containers. They are well worth the money. Like other post said, don't get the lowest cost one but a medium range one would be fine. You can keep stuff a year of more without freezer burn, takes up less room in the freezer too.
I would sell you my first one for $50 but by the time you paid the shipping you probably could get a new one. I think it was around $120 originally.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
S0rory about the double posts. I did not know computers could have brain farts, but mine just had one.
