Pretty interesting stuff.. I really like the mapping feature. You can map with HB but can't load it to your unit. This unit allows you to map and overlay while in the boat..

LOL.. Yeah they are rich for sure... You can already make maps for both units by recording data then using a software like DrDepth to make the map. The only problem is the HB you can't load the map back to the unit... Only with the HDS. Now the HDS can make and show the maps on the water which is pretty neat. Not really that big of an improvement but still pretty awesome that it has the computing power to do all that...

Yep, purty soon these fish finder companies are gonna have the computing power of my Iphone. Course, by the time they put that much juice in 'em they'll be $127,000 for the 5" size.

Will say this about Gen2. Looks awful neat, but the real reason to go Gen2 would be the processor speed. Mine tends to lag at times redrawing the maps, zooming or swithing views. Not enough bang to get me to upgrade at the moment though.
