    Default Rez Crappie...

Well I fished November 19th, 21st, 25th, and 26th and don't have much to show for it. I have been catching about 5-6 keepers each time and about 10-15 throw backs. My best day was the 26th with around 10-12 keepers and 10-12 throw backs. Seem to pick up one good 2 lb fish each time but it has been rather slow. Anybody else done any crappie fishing on the Rez? I am sure it will pick up soon. Maybe this rain will turn them on. It is fun to me either way...

Here is a few from the 19th

Scott - I started at the bridge 3 of those 5 days I fished. The bridge just wasn't happening. I would catch 5-10 fish and that was it. They were all small fish. Usually the bridge is good for a bunch of fish but they are usually small fish. I have been banging timber up river lately trying to learn some spots and improve on my single poling.

That's good Zack, that's what I need to work on myself. I've been trying to get the longlining technique down also. At least with the Terrova, I can use a foot control when I'm single poling.

Yeah I have never single pole fished much but want to learn how to. My dad loves to single pole so I need to find some good spots to bring him. In just the last 4-5 trips I have found about 5 good spots to bring him that I am sure to catch some fish which might be small but fish none the less. It is always fun to me to learn a new technique. Also using the SI on the trolling motor while single poling is amazing. I can scan timber before I fish them to see if fish are holding in it and also helps to find blow downs that are below the water you might not see. It is also good to see if shad is near the structure also which seem to make more fish hold in the structure. I am still learning. I want to be able to side scan several spots, mark the ones that look best, then only single pole the spots that looked best on SI. I am getting there....
