Don;t think you'll get into to many Alligator Gar when your fishing. Has any of ya'll ever got ahold to a over 5 foot gar before spider rigging or pulling cranks? I've caught a bunch of Shortnosed gars ( guess that's what they are) but NEVER got ahold to a true Alligator gar
We got em over here. The alligator gar has more of a flat bill vs the slim bill of a short nosed gar. They both suck.
No I dont think that I've ever caught a true alligator gar. Still, shock em as shoot em. Could probably make the state some money by selling guided carp shock hunts. I'd give em 50 if they let me drink beer and shoot em. Be really interesting to see what else floated up too
