    Default Geezer equals

A Geezer is what I have always referred to as an "Ole Fart", matter a fact I called my father-in-law an "Ole Fart" all the time, nevermind what he called me.

As a boy, thinking I was a young man, the geezers in my life ere just ole folks that didnt have a clue about the way things are today. As I got older I realised that they thought they knew everything and when they told you something it wasnt up for discussion, it was law. Coarse this just made me go in another direction just to prove "I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING". Getting a little older I learned that most of the time I didnt want to hear what they had to say so I just didnt ask many questions or share what I had on my mind cause I wasn't gonna like what the "Ole Fart's" were going to have to say.

As my daughter has reached an age where she's off to college and on her own I find myself coming into the age of GEEZERISM, I'm still young so I aint no "Ole Fart" yet but I'm on my way.

I truly miss some of the "Ole Farts" that have touched my life and am very thankful for the ones still in it. You see I was blessed with 2, my father-in-law and my grandfather. Pop, my father-in-law, would have throughly enjoyed yesterday and this year round crappie fishing. It brings tears to my eyes missing him, RIP Pop. My Grandfather has always been there for me, best man at my wedding, first one to hold my daughter when we brought her home, always there. His mind is slipping very bad these days but he's holding on at the age of 95. Still there but the advise is gone. I thank God for these men.

I said all that to say this: Geezerism is a privilege and an honor and us tweeners and you whippersnappers need to always respect and honor them. I want to say thanks to all the Geezers on here and am gonna make a concious effort to say thank you to all the Geezers in my life. I have wished a million times that I had thanked my FIL more and long for him and my Grandfather every day.

It was good to meet alot of the Geezers of Crappie.com yesterday and I just want to say thanks for taking time with us young ens and showing us the ropes.

Talking of Old Farts this is a pix of a B-day present my oldest step-daughter gave to me a couple of years ago, they are my nick-names and the bottom one is what she calls me by not in public.
