I caught 2 out of the same stake beds at Grenada last year. They were both about 14"

sardis has had them for a few years now caught some that were pound to pound and half
I have caught a couple on Grenada in the past. They were always one of the 5 under 12 you could keep. Why would they put these fish in the lake to compete with the trophy class fishery is beyond me. They should only put those in ponds that the owners want crappie, but do not want them breeding too much and taking over the pond. Just my opinion though.
I think they grow faster than the white, and supposedly larger, if given the chance. I've never caught one over 2 lb. yet.

They grow faster than whites in a controlled setting but not in the wild. 20,000 that place was riddled with dinks before that and its gone to pot now!
