It's not a Terrova issue Major, it's a battery issue. Minn Kota is correct, it will pull Sat around the lake at 2.5mph "all day long" as long as he has the battery power for the job. Two golf cart batteries may do it but I'm sure four batteries connected parallel and then in a series would last all day. My Group 27 Trojans will pull me at 1.7 for 5 hours so another pair could net him an 8 hour fishing day I would think. Do you think two Group 31's could do it? I have heard you mention you have had very good luck with your 31's.Thumbs Up

Yikess, I trolled continous for 6 and a half hours last Wednesday with my 80# Terrova....Two of the highest amp rating group 31's that you can get at 1.8 mph......no problem, I tested the batteries when we got through and they showed 80% left. You get what you pay for when you buy batteries.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

My new gp 31's have been great so far, but since I started fishing with Scott in his boat I haven't really tested them much.

My group 27's will give me 3 1/2 to 4 hrs constant crank pullin. That's why I've got 2 sets. I wish I could "test drive" a pair of 31's. I might could get by with one set. Plus I have a Powerdrive V2. I think a Terrova is more efficient.
