80 will do fine. 1000.00 vs 2000.00 for the 101. MinnKota folks said the 80 would pull it at over 2.5 all day.

you better get some real good batteries Sat. It might pull it if there's no wind at all but you know every time you get on the water the winds gonna be kicking it.
dd, on our charger boat, we have an old evinrude tm, and it pulls our boat just fine..........eventually gonna upgrade to a terrova, though.
I ain't gonna tell you I told you so, but let me know when you figure out where you're gonna mount battery #3 and #4. Then I'll tell you I told you so.

This one would be marketing 101 and the first rule is "once a person has made a decision, even if he did not choose your product, NEVER suggest that he made a bad decision as he would take it as an affront to his judgement". I made that mistake as a cocky. rookie Xerox sales rep and boy did I get my head handed to me fast.
