Was using 14's but lately been using 16's & 18's and starting to like them better. I am liking the baitcaster reels better than spinning reels to help with managing the fish when using less line then the length of the pole. Easier to get enough line out to get the net under them. (at least I hope I need the net!!!)Rofl

18's!!! Mo used one while we were pulling cranks. It was rediculus when he'd hang a decent fish
