and if you have a favorite brand and of course the line that has the best price for the performance. I have been reading on here while searching, and it appears that Sufix Orange and Power Pro seem to be the most talked about of the braided lines. I am going to convert over a couple (at least) to the braided and just wandering what is the best bang for the buck. I looked around and some of this stuff can get pretty pricey, so just want to make a good informed decision when purchasing and it sure would be nice to maybe pull the crank loose from the snag versus leaving a 5 or 6 dollar bait and even sometimes higher priced bait stuck in a snag in the water

    thanks

    Larry

I use Power Pro and usually find deals on 1500 yd spools on Ebay. Mainly use 15/4 high vis yellow.

Maybe I am missing something but I havent seen any need for braid, may be speaking too soon but I havent had any trouble with mono. 5 hang-ups yesterday and all 5 retreived without any prob, only lost 2 baits this summer. May loose 10 next time out, hope not.

I use both. I try and put Orange on one pole, then the yellow, then orange. Helps me when I'm turning to see what lines are on which pole.

Larry, checkcabelas daily and weeklyspecials. I found some red Cajun braid in 300 yard spools for less than 5.00 a spool a few weeks ago. I have some on spider rig rods along with suffix orange a power pro yellow. No difference in catch ratio but a little harder to see.
