123 i think the everstarts are fine.Everybody i fish with use them.I have 3 in my boat now and for the price you can't beat them.I have only had problems with one and that was my fault.Let them set all winter with no charge. But they replaced it no questions asked.
I have used the wally world batts for several yrs. I have a cranking batt/everstart for my 60hp and the sticker on it says it was made in 5/06, still cranks good, and the 60 starts w/o much cranking at all. I have a Everstart TM batt from wally world as well, cost about $75-80 where I live. I installed this one this spring as the previous one was not lasting very long on my weekend trips imo, (was a wally world Everstart as well and lasted about 4yrs. On the assumption the one I replaced cost $75 4 yrs ago, that's less than $20/yr for the battery. TM batts do die, so get what you can afford, take care of it by charging it up as soon as you get home from the lake and keep it watered. It'll last you a good while, but like most things things these days, nothing lasts like they use to.
I ran the Wally big Yeller batts until the warranty went away (here anyway). I longlined with two batts in parallel with a 12v troller and the batts outlasted me, even from daylight 'til dark. Had 1 or 2 go bad over the past 10-12 yrs but Wally replaced them free for 18 mos. so no problem. At $80+ apiece I couldnt stand the thoughts of no warranty so I went with $35 blem batts...Interstates.;)
I have group 29 Wally batteries. I can pull 6 hours, on average. Get about 2 years out of em, which I think is purty good considering how much I use em.
been using wally world batteries for years now.....................no problems yet.
I bought 2 of the wally group 29 (biggest wally sells) for my deep v. Pulled cranks with an old school motorguide 24v 65 thrust in the sardis FJ. Held up good for 6 hours. Was still working at 7 hours but were fading fast. Can't argue with that.
But shortly after I bought them, I discoved the Energizer group 31's at Sams Mr Jim is telling you about. If I had a do-over, I'd probably get em.
Wally 29's and pull for bout 6hrs. Got a good warranty and a decent battery for tha $$$.
