Default We all must have purchased too many drift socks yesterday.......

I purchased 2 of the 4xl yesterday for $30 and change......today they are selling for $29 and change APIECE.
I called a lady at Cabela's to make sure my order had went through and she said it had. Thanks to everyone for the heads up yesterday.

P.S. Will these drift socks come with some kind of straps or ropes or will I have to get that somewhere else?

I think you have to buy the drift sock harness separate.

some but few come with the harness and float. the harness costs about $25 or more, but I'm thinking up an idea on how make one for alot less and be just as good.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Harnesses are extra. You could use a rope but you had better rig some kind of float on it.

I've got a 3x drift sock I use, but I hook it directly to my drag rope. Seems to work just fine. What is the point of the harness or some other means to float the lead? I don't see how that aids in the function?

I don't know for sure as I have never used a drift sock so maybe somebody will chime in here....but I thought the harness gave you the ability to dump the load so to speak and be able to pull the sock back in easier.

We use 2 drift socks without a harness on either. We attach each one to the right and left handles on the back of the boat with a carabiner and they work great.

Be careful handling it getting it in etc. They sink. Also, if you only have one sock and tie it off to one side of boat, you will not drift straight. Using one sock on each side is fine though.
