what do ya'll think of the proposed sardis lake resort................

saw in our greenwood paper where they are opposed to it here because of flooding concerns to greenwood if the lake was made into a resort instead of flood control. they are talking golf courses, hotels, resorts, restaurants, etc. it will sure put more fishing pressure on sardis, that's for sure.

They can propose all they want but Sardis will always be a flood control lake if the COE has their way and I am sure they will. If Sardis or Butla had been at summer pool when they both jumped that last time it would have been bad for sure in an already flooded Delta.

Hope it never happens. Even if you didn't consider flood control, the ensuing run off from all that construction would be very detrimental to the lake. Sounds like another Pyramid project. I couldn't turn out any better than that has.
