I push the same speed that I pull....on a big lake ( where legal) I pull 6 and push 4 sometimes at the same time.

Good question. I'd like to see how folks rig it all(weight, swivel, bait) also. I've always been a puller. I think the majority of keepers are in shallower water right now where pushin would work mo better.

Larry, I use a 3 or 4 ounce egg sinker on the main line. Then a swivel below that. Then a 3 to 4 foot leader to the crankbait snap swivel. I push at the same speeds I pull crankbaits. 1.5-2.2 mph

Most of the time I use two oz. weights....if its really windy I use three oz. I use bank sinkers with a real short about 5 in. leader tied to them and a snap swivel.....I put a loop knot in my line about 3 or 4 ft. above my crank bait and just snap the weight to that. That way I can easily change weights if need be and if I decide I want to pull with that rod I can just unsnap the weight and go to pulling.

I actually run abit heavier than most. I run 6-8 oz of weights so the baits are almost straight down. at 2 MPH they're still pulling back a good bit
