    Default My Poor Crankbaits

I started out with one like the top one and was coming along fine, with much help from ScottV and Maachuu, and thought hey this is a lot of fun.. Purchased a dozen, removed the hooks, sanded them, masked them, painted them... took me 4 days and untold amounts of $s... finished them up this evening, brought them in the house to show my wife Mary. She thought they were ok, so I left them on the dining table and after getting comfortable on the sofa I promptly went to sleep... Now, I will post the pic of my cranks tomorrow, then you will get a look at what she did to them, right now I gotta let them dry. I may have to call Maj and have some of what he's having.

looking good EZ , multi colors are always the hardest for sure, it will come as I still learn something by mistakes every time I paint but its a hobby and I dont figure they gotta be perfect, I just cant envision a crappie swimmin round and round a bait and sayin "man these colors are not even or hey look this has paint on the bill" or something like that, if it catches the eye then they probably gonna attack it like they are mad. now thats just my thought bout it but hey its fun anyway you look at it

That one looks real good EZ. Like Maachuu said, you learn something new every time you paint.

She said she told me they were a little drab and asked me if she could 'enhance' them a little and that I told her 'go ahead honey, anything you want to do is fine with me'. Musta already been asleep, so here is what she did.. The first one is the one in the first pic above. Then the group is the 'enhancing'. I don't know what I'm gonna do with that girl.
Should I go ahead and put the final coat on them?
